Author – Amy Harmon

the caged bird,
couldn’t breathe,
for it gasped and choked,
while trodden beneath,
its air snatched,
by soulless souls.
Whenever you metamorphosise, stun the world with your excellence.

Staring at the crimson glow,
Waiting on the emerald metamorphosis,
Palms palpitated, eyes dilated,
A tense shuffle indicated,
you are your cage,
your feathers kissed my palm,
screeching for help,
but the key is in your hands.
in a flight of terror,
he rose above the ground,
wearing his red crown,
in his tireless attempt,
to not fall in the pan,
with all his might he ran!
Yaadon ke chourahe par,
Aaj mulakat hui unse,
Jinhe dekhkar dhadkane tez hoti hai,
Unke jhalak se ek ajeeb ghabrahat hui phir se.
Poorv mein hui utpan,
Janani ka na koi naamo nishan,
Nikal padi woh pankh failaakar,
Apni baahon mein rog aur aahat mein dar lekar.
